What’s up everyone!
I’m almost back to Austin after a few months on the road from Austin-to-Boston and around the northeast. I promise a very detailed update and blog post soon!
BUT…more importantly, I’m chilling in the beautiful mountain town of Murphy, NC and I JUST found out I was accepted as 1 of 15 finalists out of 400 for The Recording Conservatory of Austin‘s UNSIGNED ARTIST COMPETITION.

What’s up??
Quick backstory: In the summer of 2009, I came to visit Austin for a week – I heard it was an awesome city with an amazing music scene, but didn’t know anything about it. After wandering around for a few days, I bumped into Tres Cozine, who was the doorman at Momos. He told me to come check out Dan Dyer and Suzanna Choffel…
After hearing them and seeing their live performance, I was convinced to move out to Austin. I flew home, packed up my bags, and drove out to Austin 2 weeks later with my dream. That being said, it’s an honor to perform after one of my local musical inspirations.
It’s only $5 – I play 1015pm- midnight. Here is the full awesome lineup:

No one was harmed during the explosion on my head.
Well, although I don’t have much money right now…I HAD to buy this new guitar.
It was a craigslist find that was too good to pass up and my old Martin has taken quite a beating over the last few years. Check out my new 2000 Gibson L-130. It sounds unbelievable – I’ll have a youtube video up soon of one of my new songs using this guitar. Let me know what you think!

What’s up everyone,
I’ve finally settled back in Austin, TX and it feels great to be back. I moved in with my piano player Wilyum Rodriguez – his epic musical house is right behind Barton Springs. The living room is full of 3 pianos, 8 guitars, 2 trumpets, a clarinet, and a cello, and we will keep adding more instruments. It’s a musical paradise.
Upcoming Tours!
Austin-to-Boston: Part Deux (If you’ve ever seen the movie Hot Shots, that’s where I got that from). I’m heading back on the road to hit up Austin-to-Boston again all through the month of November. I’ll have dates updated soon and I can’t wait to get back on the road again.
Europe Tour: I can’t tell you how excited I am to get over to Europe and play music. In 2008, I studied at an international business school in Milan, IT and I haven’t seen many of my friends in years. I’m in the booking phase right now and it’s going create. The plan is to do a week in Amsterdam, a week around the Netherlands, a few days in Denmark, Germany, Paris and maybe Milan. And then…culminate with new years in Amsterdam.
New Songs!
I’m finally living just off of music for the next two months and because of that I have a lot of time to spend writing new songs. I’ve got an intense poetic one, a poppy love one, an epic piano ballad, and of course the girls-messed-with-my-heart song, all in the works. I’m looking forward to finishing these all up and getting them on Youtube in the next month!
